Payments and refunds.

What a brand pays, when a studio is paid, the fee, and when money goes back.

What does a brand pay?

The agreed price, nothing on top. It’s paid when both sides agree and held until the post has been live for 72 hours.

When does a studio get paid?

72 hours after the post goes live, unless the brand raises a problem. The studio gets the price less a 15% fee.

What’s the fee?

15% of the price, from the studio’s side, fixed when the deal is agreed. On a A$900 deal the studio gets A$765. Brands pay no fee.

What can a deal cost?

From A$50 to A$50,000 a deal for now, in Australian dollars.

When does a brand get its money back?

In full, every time: when either side cancels after paying and before the first draft, when Synthicate settles a problem for the brand, or when a payment has been held for 89 days. A refund is never split, and nothing is taken from it.

How long can money be held?

No more than 90 days. Both sides are told on day 80, and on day 89 the payment goes back to the brand in full, whatever the deal is waiting on.

Is there a bonus for views?

Not yet. The app shows how a view bonus would work, as a preview: nothing is charged or paid for views today.
