Cookie policy.

Three cookies, all ours. Nothing for analytics or advertising.

Draft. Waiting for a lawyer’s review. Not in force until then. Draft cookie policy, written on 9 October 2026 from what the product stores today. It says more about what the privacy policy covers in section 9; where the two differ, the privacy policy wins. Each note marked “For a lawyer” is a question to settle before any of it is used.

1. The short version

Synthicate sets three cookies, all its own, and only once you’ve signed in. None is for analytics or advertising, and there are no third-party trackers. Reading the public site sets no cookie at all.

2. What’s stored

CookieWhat it’s forHow long
better-auth.session_tokenKeeps you signed in. Synthicate doesn’t work without it. On the live site its name starts with __Secure-.14 days, renewed on each day you use Synthicate
synthicate.roster.viewRemembers how a studio’s roster is laid out (cards, a wall of pictures, a list or the heatmap), so it opens the way you left it. It holds only that choice.A year
synthicate.today.viewRemembers how a studio’s Today shows what needs it (a list or cards), so it opens the way you left it. It holds only that choice.A year

3. What isn’t

  • No analytics: we don’t count your visits with a tracking script.
  • No advertising cookies, and no pixels from social networks or ad platforms.
  • Nothing that follows you to other sites.

If that changes, we’ll update this page and the Privacy policy first, and ask you where the law requires it.

4. The payment provider

A brand pays on the payment provider’s own page, which sets its own cookies, for example to prevent fraud. Those are Stripe’s, under Stripe’s cookie policy.

5. Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie means you can’t sign in. Clearing the roster or Today cookie only resets that page’s layout.

[For a lawyer: all three cookies look strictly necessary or a preference the user set, so the product shows no cookie banner. Decide whether that holds for visitors in the EU and the UK.]
