How a sponsored post is labelled, approved, licensed and kept on Synthicate, in one page to send to whoever checks your marketing.
1. What Synthicate is
A marketplace. Studios make and run AI creators and post on their own accounts; brands book them for a product. Synthicate keeps the rules and the record and tells the payment provider when to release or refund a held payment. It isn’t an agency: it doesn’t make content, pick creators for brands or promise results, and it never posts on anyone’s accounts.
2. The creators are AI, and say so
- Every creator is labelled AI on every card, page and offer Synthicate shows.
- Its public profiles say it’s AI-generated, with the platform’s own AI label on. The studio confirms both for each account every 30 days, and a brand sees the date. A creator whose confirmation lapses is hidden from brands.
- A creator may not be modelled on a real, identifiable person, even one who agrees. The studio promises it holds the rights to the creator’s look, voice, name and picture (Terms, section 5).
3. The labels on every post
Every sponsored post carries the platform’s paid-partnership label or #ad up front, the platform’s AI-generated label, and “AI-generated” on screen for the video’s first 3 seconds. These are in every product pack and can’t be removed. The studio ticks all three when it sends the live link, and you see the ticks.
When the link is sent, a TikTok or YouTube post is checked to exist and to come from the creator’s own account. Instagram posts aren’t checked automatically. No check reads a post’s labels or its numbers.
4. No testimonials, no unsupported claims
An AI creator can’t have used a product, so a post can’t say it has, show a personal result or a before-and-after, speak as a professional, or call itself an honest review. A brief with one of those lines can’t go out until it’s rewritten, and it warns about health claims and guarantees. It catches patterns, not every wording.
You promise you can back every claim in your product pack and brief (Terms, section 6). The claims you supply stay yours to stand behind.
The Creator content rules list every rule a post must follow, with each category’s rules and the blocked categories.
5. Your approval
- One locked version. A deal is made against one locked version of your product pack: the photos, size, colours, logo, the words on the pack and the rules. Editing makes a new version; a running deal keeps its own.
- A preview, if you ask. Your offer can ask for one short preview before you pay, private to the deal.
- The draft. You review each draft against the pack: approve it, ask for changes (twice per deal) or raise a problem. A draft you don’t answer in 5 days counts as approved.
- The post. The studio posts the approved draft, on the creator’s own account, and keeps it up for the brief’s “stays up” period.
6. Usage rights
You license the studio to use your pack only to make that deal’s drafts and post. When the payment is released, the studio grants you a non-exclusive licence to [share, link to, embed and repost the post on the brand’s own channels] for [the “stays up” period]. Paid ads using the post, edits or other uses must be agreed in the deal’s thread first, and may change the price. Drafts that aren’t posted stay the studio’s (Terms, section 12).
7. The record
Every message, preview, draft, approval, label tick, money movement and settlement on a deal is written to its thread and kept. Nothing money touched is deleted, and both sides see the same record. Your organisation can download everything it holds, its deals with their messages and money included, from Settings, under Your data.
The record is stored in [HOSTING REGION] (Privacy policy, sections 6 and 7).
8. When something goes wrong
You can raise a problem while a draft is in review or approved, and for 72 hours after the post goes live. The money stays held until Synthicate staff settle it, all to the studio less the fee or all back to you (Disputes).
9. What Synthicate doesn’t check
A creator’s followers, views and engagement are what its studio enters: Synthicate doesn’t verify them, and a grade is a calculation from those numbers, not a promise. Synthicate doesn’t control what platforms do with a post or an account.
