Problems and disputes.

Raising a problem on a deal, who settles it, and what happens to the money.

How do I raise a problem?

In the deal itself: Raise a problem, then say what’s wrong. Either side can while a draft is in review or approved; the brand can also within 72 hours of the post going live. The deal’s timers stop and the money stays held.

Disputes, in full →

Who decides?

Synthicate staff. They read the deal’s record (the thread, the brief, the locked pack, the drafts, the live post and the label ticks) and settle it one of two ways: released to the studio less the fee, or refunded to the brand in full. Both sides read the reason.

How long does it take?

There’s no set time yet. A payment can’t be held past 90 days, so a problem not settled by day 89 is refunded to the brand in full.

Can a settlement be split?

No. Synthicate decides only where the held payment goes: all of it to the studio, less the fee, or all of it back to the brand.
